Research Opportunities in the Swingley Lab

If you are interested in joining the Swingley lab, please take a look at the research projects and publications to identify your specific areas of interest. Our research ranges from the lab bench to a variety of field sites and computational systems, with opportunities in all areas. If your interests align with ours, please email Dr. Swingley for more information.

All students should send the following information:

  1. A cover letter describing your short- and long-term career goals and how research in our lab will help you attain those goals.

  2. An unofficial copy of your transcript.

  3. A resume or CV summarizing your work and academic experience, including contact information for at least one reference.

Graduate students should provide the additional information:

  1. An unofficial copy of your GRE score report and TOEFL or IELTS report if applicable.

  2. A writing sample that best demonstrates your abilities in scientific writing, such as a journal article, technical document, or report from a completed course.

Our lab is a family. If you join our lab it is our hope that you'll join us for games, dinners, and general merrymaking. We have regularly scheduled get-togethers several times a month that involve current and former lab members, their families, and students from other labs in the department. It's our sincerest goal to make everyone feel welcome, involved, and appreciated as not only a member of our research team, but the greater lab family.
